General Trip Information
Every year, the Durham School of the Arts takes a trip to Washington, D.C.
Students either go to the National Portfolio Day at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. or they participate in a GUIDED Art History tour of museums & monuments.
Students are invited to join their classmates and the DSA Visual Arts staff on this exciting trip.
In addition to being currently enrolled in a Visual Arts class, they must meet the following requirements:

In addition to being currently enrolled in a Visual Arts class, they must meet the following requirements:
PORTFOLIO DAY
- can bring a portfolio of 8-10 works approved by their teacher, and - are seriously interested in getting constructive feedback from representatives from art colleges throughout the United States |
GUIDED ART HISTORY Tour
- are enrolled in AP Art History (or took the course last year), and - are seriously interested in a critical/engaged tour of museums and monuments in DC, including activities |
